Those who may prefer an older, more “classic” Dante than what Ninja Theory is doing for DmC will have a chance to do so in sweet high definition come the Spring. That’s when the Devil May Cry HD Collection will hit store shelves in the US and Europe.
The magic date is April 3, 2012. For a cool $39.99 you can experience Dante as originally intended, and the reason so many are so torn over the game coming out next year. The collection features Devil May Cry 1, Devil May Cry 2 and Devil May Cry 3: Dante’s Awakening Special Edition, which itself includes bonus features like the ability to play as Dante’s brother, Vergil.
As with the usual features of HD collections, the game will be released for Xbox 360 and PS3 with a host of bonus features, as well as trophy/achievement support.

Personally, I hope Capcom learns their lesson from the mess that was the Resident Evil HD games. They didn’t look too hot.
