She mentioned that even though she and Sam got married, it felt more like a pretend distraction to help her cope with everything going on, saying, “It’s weird me and Sam were married but it almost felt like a fake distraction to help me deal with it.”

This hardship stemmed from her estrangement from her two sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James, whom she had with her ex-husband Kevin Federline. Spears revealed that for a span of three years, she was unable to communicate with her children by phone or text.
