Gotham Adds Jamie Chung As Valerie Vale For Season 3

You may remember a while back when we received some hints about the new characters that were going to be introduced in the third season of Gotham. At the time, all signs pointed to one of these new faces being longtime Batman love-interest from DC Comics lore, Vicki Vale, but as it turns out, that was only partly on the level.

You may remember a while back when we received some hints about the new characters that were going to be introduced in the third season of Gotham. At the time, all signs pointed to one of these new faces being longtime Batman love-interest from DC Comics lore, Vicki Vale, but as it turns out, that was only partly on the level.

TV Line has now confirmed that the character will actually be named Valerie Vale, and will be played by Once Upon A Time alum Jamie Chung. Apparently, this isn’t an alternate take on Vicki – who may still be introduced further down the line – but rather her Aunt, who is also a journalist.

Here’s how Valerie is described in the report:

“Gotham Gazette‘s newest hire, Valerie is a crackerjack reporter dead set on uncovering the truth behind Indian Hill. Confident and dogged, she will do anything to get the scoop, and soon sets her sights on Gordon, who she believes is the key lead in her story.”

Gotham season 3 is set to debut on Monday, Sept. 19 at 8/7c.
