Karmin Share Cover Of “All I Want For Christmas Is You”

Despite being one of the most covered Christmas songs of all time, it’s actually pretty hard to do it justice. Who can really live up to Carey’s vocals in the first place? The best course of action in this case is to make your cover sound completely different, and that’s basically what Karmin does here.

Devoid of any sort of cliche holiday trends, the track offers a sound that’s suitable for any season. There aren’t any jingle bells in the background, and the instrumentation is largely comprised of kick drums – if anything, the song’s got a bit of a hip-hop vibe to it, and it’ll be the perfect go-to holiday track for when you’re sick of hearing “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” for the millionth time.

As far as original, non-Christmasy music goes in the world of Karmin, the group recently dropped an emotional music video for their latest single, “Love Is Louder.” If you’re into smart, hip-hop infused pop, you might want to check out their album Leo Rising, which came out back in September.
