Tobey Maguire officiated the wedding of his ex-wife, jewelry designer Jennifer Meyer, and music executive Geoff Ogunlesi at the Four Seasons Resort Lanai in Hawaii over the weekend, as seen in a YouTube clip. The ceremony took place just weeks after Maguire and Meyer officially finalized their divorce, according to Page Six.
It’s a unique situation to see an ex-husband take such a central role in a wedding, but Meyer has been very open about their positive dynamic. She has previously praised Maguire as a father, an ex-husband, and a friend, and said that he and her new husband love each other.
Maguire and Meyer were married in 2007 before separating in 2016, and they also share two children, 19-year-old Ruby and 17-year-old Otis. Meyer filed for divorce in 2020. However, the court didn’t declare them legally single until September, when Meyer asked a judge to end the marriage separately from other supposedly unresolved matters.

The guest list for this celebration was packed with high-profile names. Leonardo DiCaprio reportedly attended with his girlfriend Vittoria Ceretti, while Jeff Bezos came with his wife, Lauren Sanchez Bezos. Courteney Cox, Kate Hudson, Danny Fujikawa, and Rachel Zoe were also in the crowd.
Photos from the event captured Maguire reading from a piece of paper while the couple shared a kiss. Ruby and Otis stood by their mother’s side for the vows, and their baby daughter, Meyer, welcomed with Ogunlesi this year, was also there. The warm dynamic extends beyond the ceremony, as Meyer and her family stayed with Maguire during last year’s Los Angeles wildfires.
The groom, 34-year-old Geoff Ogunlesi, is the son of Nigerian billionaire investor Adebayo Ogunlesi. He founded his own music management firm, The Ogunlesi Group, in 2022. The couple’s relationship progressed quickly after they were first linked in the summer of 2023.
They got engaged in August 2024 and shared the news of their daughter’s birth on Father’s Day in June. Court documents filed in the divorce show the baby girl was born in May, about a month before Meyer introduced her on Instagram with a message to Ogunlesi.
Maguire has been keeping a relatively low profile in the acting world lately, as his most recent role came in the 2022 film Babylon, which he also executive produced. Before that, he suited up as Peter Parker again in the 2021 blockbuster Spider-Man: No Way Home.
