Pizza Hut employee blocks one DoorDash driver from picking up order permanently, and it’s not for being late or stealing food

Sounds like a health concern too.

A Pizza Hut employee has permanently blocked a specific DoorDash driver from picking up orders at her location, and the reason is not related to tardiness or theft. A video shared on X by @USADocumented shows the employee explaining her decision, which has already racked up more than 44,000 views.

In the clip, the employee, who is wearing a Pizza Hut polo, explains that she took action because of the driver’s body odor. She described the smell as “putrid, disgusting to the point I felt physically sick to my stomach during the interaction.”

Since the driver had already accepted the order, the employee decided to let them complete the delivery before she contacted DoorDash. She requested that the platform permanently remove the driver’s ability to pick up future orders from her specific store. The employee also used the video to ask viewers if they thought she made the right call or if she should have confronted the driver about the hygiene issue directly.

While this employee was open about her reasons, other drivers have faced similar blocks without ever knowing why

A separate post on Reddit featured a user who shared their experience after their consistent flow of Pizza Hut orders suddenly stopped. The user explained that Pizza Hut had been their go-to restaurant for a few months because they saw increased earnings. After receiving 10 to 15 offers in the span of 5 to 7 hours, the offers stopped completely without any explanation. The driver once waited outside a location for about two hours on a Sunday and received zero offers that day.

The driver initially wondered if a drop in their completion rate had removed them from a large-order program, but that did not explain why the offers stopped entirely. In an edit to the post, the driver emphasized that they had not stolen any food or argued with anyone at the store, and they noted that the general manager even recognized them. The driver shared plans to speak with the manager directly and try to get the DoorDash support team involved to figure out why they were no longer receiving offers.

The online discussion around these blocks highlights the tension between restaurant staff and delivery drivers. One reply on Reddit came from an individual identifying as a Pizza Hut employee, who confirmed that stores can now block Dashers through the merchant portal. They added that this tool helps against “a bunch of a–holes in my area that steal orders from customers and soda from the cooler.”

Other users chimed in with their own frustrations regarding delivery services. One person mentioned that they avoid delivery orders altogether because of the smell of the drivers. They claimed that “most delivery drivers I encounter smell like weed” and that delivery drivers are not a group they want near their food.

Another commenter shared that they do not use the app themselves but have observed drivers at restaurants they visit and expressed a similar hesitation about having them handle their meals.
