A new image of the Assassin’s Creed III box art was uploaded to Amazon UK today, revealing that the PS3 version of the game will have a significant amount of extra “Gameplay” not found on the other platforms.

Amazon’s updated box art is exactly the same as the original box art, revealed last March, except for a small box of text that reads: “PS3 Exclusive Edition – Includes 60 minutes of exclusive Gameplay”.

Sadly, the listing does not provide any other clues as to what gamers can expect to see while playing through the additional hour of mystery ACIII content.

With nothing else to go on, and no official word from Ubisoft, we can only speculate as to the nature of the PS3 exclusive gameplay. Our best guess is that this is somehow tied to the extra features that Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation players can get when they connect their Vita game with the PS3 version of Assassin’s Creed III.

Now that Amazon has let the cat out of the bag, official details should be coming soon from Ubisoft. We will let you know as soon as we hear something.
