The latest from the world of speculation and “Oh please, please, please let this be real” is a rumor that ToeJam & Earl may be getting the funk back on your PlayStation 3. Sources closed to Siliconera have the website confident that we’ll be seeing both ToeJam & Earl as well as ToeJam & Earl in Panic on Funkotron making their way as part of the new Sega Vintage collection on PS3. For those of you too young to remember, ToeJam & Earl was one of the first games to feature split screen co-op, and stood out as one of the best titles to grace the original Sega Genesis.

There hasn’t been anything in the ways of official confirmation as of yet. However, just the idea of being able to play around with a HD Toejam & Earl game with some online multiplayer has me more excited than I should admit. We’ll keep you updated if we hear anything else.
