U.S. President Donald Trump posted an AI-generated video of himself chasing, tackling, and befriending a Siberian tiger. He initially posted a gruesome video on his Truth Social account of the beast fatally mauling a man at Yorkshire Wildlife Park in England.
Later, the president posted an AI-generated video set to The Tokens’ hit The Lion Sleeps Tonight, this time of himself grinning and having fun as he chases and plays with the tiger. It features Trump imitating Chapman’s pointing gesture and ends with him and the tiger hugging.
“Don’t ever mess with nature,” Trump wrote on his post. No message accompanied the AI-generated video, which he posted after finishing his pre-midterm election rally in Alaska.
Victim’s family wasn’t pleased with Trump’s AI video
In another Truth Social post, the president shared a video likening him to a mighty lion and heralding him as “the king of the jungle.” “Every once in a while the lion has to show the jackals who he is,” a narrator said as the video displayed images of former President Barack Obama, Democratic California Rep. Nancy Pelosi, and Democratic California Gov. Gavin Newsom.
Meanwhile, the victim’s family—who revealed he was former UK child star William Chapman—said that he had “significant mental illness over a number of years” and urged the public to stop sharing any content related to his death. “The family are utterly devastated by their loss and are struggling to come to terms with what has happened,” Chapman’s family said in a statement. “The publication and circulation of deeply offensive media content is causing them severe distress at an exceptionally vulnerable time. We ask people to stop doing this.”
Chapman was attacked to death after entering the tiger enclosure at a zoo. The parkgoer, who has not been publicly identified, asked a stranger to take a photo of him with the massive Siberian tiger, Altai, behind him at Yorkshire Wildlife Park. According to the witness, the victim posed for a photo with the tiger behind him and reportedly danced moments before entering its enclosure. The family stated that they are “hopeful that the relevant authorities will do their upmost to get to the bottom of why our amazing son did what he did.
Trump has frequently shared AI-generated content on his Truth Social account, including an AI image portraying himself as Jesus Christ with healing powers—a post he later deleted after widespread backlash. He has also posted AI images and other graphics depicting himself blowing up key Iranian sites like Kharg Island, as well as images showing places such as Canada and Greenland coming under American rule.
