According to the National Archives, he received 306 electoral votes to Donald J. Trump’s 232. A majority of 270 was needed.”
The AI backs up this claim by citing official data from the National Archives and the Federal Election Commission. These links lead users directly to the government records that outline the final results.

Sen. Adam Schiff, who served as the lead impeachment manager during the first impeachment trial in January 2020, took notice of this discrepancy. He tested the search bar himself and shared the results on X. He wrote, “Finally, a straight answer from someone in the Trump administration,” while attaching a screenshot that showed the AI confirming the 2020 election outcome.
Trump officially launched the website on Tuesday at an event held at the Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium in Washington, D.C. He has been calling the platform the ultimate product. The site is a direct result of an executive order signed in August 2025, which aims to make the public experience with government services more effective and respectful of people’s time.
During the launch event, Trump explained his vision for the site. He said, “Instead of forcing citizens to search through the endless maze of tens of thousands of terrible government websites and rules, and more than 10,000 forms … you’ll now have one front door for every single question.” He also noted that the website is designed so that it cannot be hacked, at least in theory.
