The Renaissance tour has recently kicked off its European leg, and it is poised to be one of the most lucrative tours in history – a testament to Queen Bee’s reign. Spanning across Europe and America, Beyoncé will showcase her highly acclaimed album, Renaissance, which has rightfully earned her the distinction of being the most-awarded Grammy winner of all time. It goes without saying that all attention is focused on Mrs. Carter and her unparalleled stage presence, garnering well-deserved adoration and ecstatic cheers from her fans.
With all eyes on the queen of entertainment, many fans have quickly noted that, while she is still a powerful force to be reckoned with, the singer isn’t as active on stage as she once was. Those attending the concerts have noticed that the singer is often laying on one leg and staying as still as she can for songs – though a performer is still a performer. This course of events is leading many fans to believe that the singer has had a possible foot injury in the past, and here’s what it is known so far.
Is Beyoncé injured?
Many rumors have emerged suggesting the possibility of foot surgery stemming from an incident that occurred in January. After attending a private concert, journalist Garrick Kennedy shared his personal review of the event on Twitter, and intriguingly, within that tweet, Kennedy made a passing mention of the singer’s ability to deliver an exceptional show following foot surgery. Although the original tweet has since been deleted, numerous media outlets have managed to recover the tweet.
“BEYLANTIS was quite the unexpected show,” he wrote. “That voice just gets better and better. Mama was doing her good singing. Mind-blowing to see her and Blue Ivy perform together. Even more in awe to hear she did this after foot surgery.”
Despite Garrick quickly removing the tweet from the social media platform, keen-eyed fans promptly caught wind of its final words, leading to widespread speculation regarding Beyoncé’s foot surgery. It is important to note that neither the singer nor her team has confirmed these claims as yet, but if it is indeed accurate, it would explain the need for her to adopt a more lenient approach on stage, allowing for enough time for a proper recovery.
Moreover, many fans may need to remember that Beyoncé is not as young as she once was. Considered a veteran musician at her craft, the singer has been in the industry for more than three decades, proving her immeasurable worth time and time again. Just like everyone, Beyoncé is also allowed to keep her performances slightly less convoluted, regardless of whether foot surgery was involved or not.
Still proving that she is, arguably, the best performer of our time, Beyoncé’s next concert will take place in Saint-Denis, France, and we can’t wait to see it.
