A TikTok user named Kiki recently shared a strange experience involving a Walmart hammock that she says she has no explanation for. She posted a video about it, which has now been watched over 1.8 million times. While packing her blue, two-person hammock into her bicycle basket before a trip, she noticed another nearly identical hammock sitting right there, one she has no memory of ever buying.

She says she has no memory of ever buying a second one and has no idea where it came from. The two hammocks are almost identical, though Kiki pointed out in her TikTok video that the bags have slightly different patterns, and one of them has a grease stain on it. This made her even more confused, and she started wondering out loud how it could have ended up with her without her knowing. She had no answer, reports Brobible.

“I have never had two hammocks,” she says. “I have no idea where this came from.” She then went on to ask, “Did someone break into my f—ing room? Did someone, like, leave one in my bike basket when I was, like, hammocking one time? … But then, who would give me the exact [laughing] same f—ing hammock?”

Walmart has been at the center of many viral moments lately, like when one shopper called self-checkout an unpaid internship after a 17-minute struggle at the machine. Many users jumped into the comments to share their own similar stories. One person posted a photo of two identical toys, saying one of them just appeared out of nowhere. Another user said they found a second, brand-new copy of their son’s favorite book after the original had started falling apart.

Some people found the situation funny. One user wrote, “So it’s not just the dryer taking my socks!” But one person explained, “You accidentally picked up someone else’s hammock when packing up from an adventure. Somewhere, someone is wondering how they lost their hammock.”

There are some logical explanations worth considering, even if they feel unsatisfying. Kiki may have simply forgotten that she bought a second hammock, since human memory is known to be unreliable. It is also possible that someone saw her with the hammock at some point and, thinking it was hers, left a similar one behind for her.
