Woman was asked to pay for her portion unless she went home with him afterwards, and she had one question: ‘Do you treat all women this way?’

A TikTok video depicting a dinner date that went sideways has captured a massive amount of attention online, Daily Dot reports. The clip has racked up over 424,000 likes, 24,000 saves, and more than 8,300 comments since it was posted.

The creator, known as @melodak53, shared the footage with a caption stating, “I went on the worst date of my life. No man has ever treated me like this before. Like a piece of meat. #worstdate #firstdate.” In the video, the creator adjusts her camera at what looks like a restaurant table before asking her date to repeat his previous statement.

He then confirms the premise that she is expected to pay for her portion of the bill if she decides not to go home with him after the meal. The woman looks visibly stunned by the demand. She asks him, “Do you treat all women this way?” His response, “Not always,” is honestly one of the most frustrating things I have heard in a long time.

She then picks up the check to check the total, which comes to $58

She looks back at him and asks, “You don’t have $58 in your bank?” She then places her phone down and informs him that she has been recording the entire conversation. She explains that people need to know “what kind of shitty men are out there” on dates with women.

He immediately calls the action disrespectful and asks if he is being recorded. She clarifies that she is not recording him specifically, but rather for her own safety. The video concludes as she gets ready to leave the table.
