The fatal shooting of the conservative activist Charlie Kirk first had a 71-year-old suspect, before the 22-year-old Tyler Robinson was pinned down as the actual shooter. However, the elderly man wasn’t simply an innocent bystander either.
In a horrifying update on George Zinn, the 71-year-old Utah man who falsely claimed responsibility for the fatal shooting of Charlie Kirk during the Turning Point USA rally at Utah Valley University in Orem, has been exposed as a pedophile. Zinn allegedly tried to mislead police by shouting that he had shot Kirk, a move that briefly diverted attention from the real gunman, leading to the campus police handcuffing and taking Zinn into custody.
Soon enough, Zinn had a medical emergency and was taken to the hospital. There, he admitted to lying about being Kirk’s shooter, prompting law enforcement to ask for his cooperation in searching through his phone. Shockingly, Zinn agreed, but informed the police that he had stored child sex abuse material on the device.
According to the Utah County Sheriff’s Office, a forensic review of Zinn’s phone uncovered more than 20 images of children between the ages of 5 and 12 in ‘various stages of undress and sexual posing.’ The official press release said:
“During a preliminary review of the phone, UCSO SVU Investigators did view over 20 images of children ranging from 5 to 12 years old in various stages of undress and sexual posing. There were several very graphic sexual text threads in which Zinn shared the images with other parties.”
The office further revealed that Zinn admitted to viewing and distributing the child sexual abuse material on his device and derived sexual gratification from doing so. Disgustingly, he also claimed to prefer victims between the ages of 5 and 12. Zinn now faces charges of obstruction of justice and possession of child sexual abuse material and is being held in the Utah County Jail.
