AOC has thoughts on the so-called ‘President of Peace’ dragging America into yet another endless war

"Clearly grounds for impeachment", she said.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC), never one to mince words, has stepped up to call out Trump’s latest military escapade, and frankly, someone had to say it.

Yes,the man who demanded Nobel Peace Prize and claimed he was going to end American involvement in “endless wars” has now plunged headfirst into yet another potential quagmire. Trump’s decision to launch strikes on key Iranian nuclear sites without Congressional approval has sparked outrage, and AOC’s fiery response has lit up the internet. “Absolutely and clearly grounds for impeachment,” she declared, and honestly, she’s got a point.

It all began with escalating tensions between Israel and Iran. Israel launched “Operation Rising Lion,” targeting Iranian cities like Tehran in what they described as a preemptive strike against a planned Iranian attack. It was a bold and bloody move, with Tehran and other cities reeling under the impact of Israeli missiles. Iran, for its part, retaliated swiftly, firing back at Israeli cities and even hitting a hospital in southern Israel.

Now, here’s where America comes in — because of course, we can’t resist playing global hall monitor. The United States, Israel’s closest ally and supplier of billions in military aid annually, decided to take things up a notch. Trump authorized strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities, including sites at Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan. These aren’t just random locations; they’re central to Iran’s controversial nuclear program, which the country insists is for peaceful purposes.

Trump’s excuse? Protecting American interests and supporting Israel. But let’s be honest, this wasn’t about imminent danger. This was about flexing muscles and playing the tough guy for his base. And in typical Trump fashion, the announcement came via his social media platform. Meanwhile, AOC’s critique was about the sheer recklessness and illegality of the decision. By bypassing Congress, Trump violated the War Powers Resolution, which clearly states that military action requires Congressional approval unless there’s an immediate threat to the U.S. Spoiler alert: there wasn’t.

OC also highlighted the potential for catastrophic consequences, not just for the U.S. but for the millions of civilians in Iran who are now caught in the crossfire. The “President of Peace” has done more to sow chaos and destruction than most of his predecessors combined. And if that’s not worth speaking out against, what is?
