Suspicions about Elon Musk influencing the 2024 presidential election took another dramatic turn this week after former conservative influencer Ashley St. Clair claimed Musk privately discussed using satellite technology and “space lasers” while backing President Donald Trump during the campaign.
In a lengthy TikTok video posted to her account, Ashley St. Clair (@ashstc) alleged Musk told her in October 2024 that he was prepared to deploy what he described as an “anomaly in the matrix.” “And he says that he has 10,000 lasers in space, referring to his satellites,” St. Clair said in the video. She claimed Musk added: “This is not a piece that they’ll see on the chessboard.”
St. Clair: “I saw some s—t, guys”
St. Clair repeatedly acknowledged that many of her claims sound unbelievable. “I saw some s—t, guys,” she said. “I saw some s—t, and I’m fighting really hard to keep my voice because I saw s— that impacts everyone.”
St. Clair did not provide evidence that Musk manipulated voting systems or election outcomes. However, she suggested Musk possessed unusually sophisticated election data through his political operation, America PAC, which heavily supported Trump’s campaign in battleground states. According to St. Clair, the conversation left her deeply unsettled. “I would ask more, but I really don’t want to be deposed,” she recalled telling Musk. She claimed he responded: “Very wise.”
St. Clair also claimed Musk shared internal election information with her during the final stretch of the 2024 race. “He told me hours ago that Trump won,” she said while describing election night at Mar-a-Lago. “My team is the best real-time data anywhere.”
She questioned how Musk could allegedly access detailed voting metrics so quickly, saying the information appeared far beyond typical campaign door-knocking operations.
The Trump-Musk alliance
Musk emerged as one of Trump’s most visible supporters during the 2024 campaign. After the assassination attempt at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, Musk publicly endorsed Trump and expanded his political activity through America PAC.
St. Clair claimed she played an unexpected role in one viral piece of the campaign’s imagery. She said she gave Musk the black “Dark MAGA” hat he later wore alongside Trump.
“I regret to inform everyone that I am responsible for Dark MAGA and the cringe that ensued thereafter,” St. Clair mentioned.
Who is Ashley St. Clair?
St. Clair rose to prominence over the past decade as a MAGA-aligned media personality and conservative influencer. In the TikTok video, she described herself as someone deeply involved in right-wing politics who is now reexamining her past rhetoric and political identity. St. Clair’s also shares a child with Musk.
“For the first time in my life, I felt like my actions had consequences,” she said while discussing the election cycle. She also expressed regret for dismissing women who previously spoke about powerful men, custody battles, and abuse within political and legal systems. “The cruelty is happening to me because I ignored the cruelty and the pleas of others,” St. Clair said. “Not only did I ignore them, but I talked s—t about them.”
Throughout the recording, St. Clair portrayed herself as fearful of retaliation, lawsuits, or intimidation because of her comments about Musk and his political connections. “I don’t know what’s going to happen to me,” she said. “The best thing I can do is talk about what I know now.” She captioned the TikTok post: “There is no greater imperative for democracy than stopping the tech oligarchy.” Neither Musk nor X publicly responded to the allegations as of Tuesday.
