‘Hats off to that ICE agent’: Border Patrol Chief praises ICE killer, says street execution 100% justified

You would think that conservatives would be furious about unaccountable masked government thugs executing innocent citizens in the streets, but apparently not. As has been noted, these days it’s less “Don’t Tread on Me”, but more “Yes! Yes! Tread harder, Daddy!”.

It felt like mere seconds after the news of Renee Good’s murder at the hands of ICE agent Jonathan Ross, the MAGA propaganda machine went into overdrive. All too soon, this mother-of-three was a dangerous “domestic terrorist” who, sadly, forced the noble ICE agent to obliterate her face with bullets. It’s just one of those things!

All this, despite the incident being captured on video from multiple angles, clearly disproving the MAGA version of events. Unfortunately, the Trump administration knows that if they just keep lying, their gullible rube followers will eventually swallow it and forget what they saw with their eyes and ears.

Enter Greg Bovino, “commander-at-large” of the Border Patrol, who says he’s baffled that anyone could possibly think a government thug ventilating an innocent woman’s head in a suburban street is at all controversial.

“We call that a means, intent and an opportunity. Did that individual have the intent – look at those minutes leading up to the shooting and we will see what I would consider some pretty important intent. Did the individual have that opportunity? Yes. Did the individual take that opportunity? Yes. A 4,000lb missile is not something anyone wants to face, especially in a split-second decision-making process in a very inhospitable environmental. Hats off to that ICE agent, I’m glad he made it out alive.”

He doesn’t actually believe any of this

What these people want you to do is carefully unpick their arguments and try to convince them they’re wrong. What better way to get right-wing rubes to disbelieve something than by having angry liberals argue it?

Remember, Bovino – and the vast majority of people spouting the Trump lies about Good’s death – do not actually believe what they’re saying. Bovino knows full well that – even in the most charitable possible retelling of events – Ross killed an innocent woman.

But he must play dumb and pretend to believe this nonsense or risk losing his job. What, is the guy dressed up in some ridiculous fascist cosplay with a squad of meatheaded goons at his beck and call, a growing media profile, and a healthy bank balance going to risk all that just to tell the truth to a Fox News audience that definitely doesn’t want to hear it?

I’m sure the genuinely stupid are buying the Trump administration’s version of events, but remember that the vast majority of people defending Ross know full well that he murdered an innocent woman. The difference between you and them is that they don’t care, and see Renee Good’s death as a minor speedbump on the long road to turning the U.S. into a white ethnostate.
