JD Vance confesses Venezuela takeover was really about controlling the country’s ‘incredible natural resources’ but we knew that already

Vice president JD Vance has outright admitted to what is likely the true reason behind the U.S. abducting Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro in an interview with the loathsome Fox News host Jesse Watters.

When the president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, was abducted over the weekend, Donald Trump claimed that the country’s leader had been arrested due to him supposedly flooding the U.S. with drugs. However, many have suspected that Trump’s administration had ulterior motives which may have included gaining access to Venezuela’s vast natural resources.

Of course, nobody thought the government would just come right out and say it but Vance pretty much confessed as much during his interview with Watters. When asked by the Fox News host how “taking out a dictator in Venezuela” would help “the average American.” Vance’s response was shocking as he states that “we are going to be able to control the incredible natural resources of Venezuela.”

He then goes on to list the various ways in which this will be good for Americans including having “leverage over our enemies,” and “high quality, low cost power.” Of course, we’re sure the huge amount of profit oil companies are about to make was just an unintended consequence right JD?

It’s been a joke online for a while that the U.S. will invade a country for even the smallest drop of oil but when Trump made his move over the weekend many suspected his motives were centered around the abundance of oil within Venezuela. He tried to convince people that the drug issue within the country was what prompted him to act, even going as far as accusing Maduro of leading a drug cartel despite there being no evidence. 

Now it seems Vance has pretty much said the quiet part out loud and for many, that’s confirmation of exactly what they suspected all along. “Was that a confession?” asked one X user. “A blatant statement of imperialist design, met with smiles by the sycophantic Fox “reporter.”” wrote Michael D. Swaine, adding, “Here is the real motive, seizure of oil.”

The Trump administration seems to be under the impression that it can just do as it pleases. Lately Donald has renewed his calls for America to take control of Greenland away from Denmark and absorb it into the U.S. Coincidentally, Greenland is another country with a great deal of natural resources that America could greatly benefit from. This time he’s using the excuse of national security but like the Venezuela charade, nobody is buying Trump’s lies.
