Jeff Bezos, Bill Gates, and Sam Altman are just some of the U.S. billionaires that have already invested in rare earth mineral drilling in Greenland

They're already prepared to start plundering Greenland as soon as possible.

Donald Trump has made it clear that he’s serious about making Greenland the 51st U.S. state and it seems the elite, billionaire, tech tech of the world are already calling dibs on the country with massive investments in a company that specializes in mineral exploration.

Jeff Bezos, Bill Gates, and Sam Altman are just some of the billionaires that have invested in KoBold Metals since 2019. According to Reuters, the company announced back in 2022 that it would begin drilling in Greenland, (which is part of the Danish realm), in order to procure the rare earth minerals which lie under the surface.

It’s long been suspected that Trump wanted to get his grubby hands on Greenland for its resources as opposed to the “national security” excuse our politicians have been feeding us and this information all but confirms the goal is to pillage the country for all it’s worth just so the 1% can keep on making a profit.

Donald Trump’s Greenland plan has been a long time coming

According to Forbes, billionaire Ronald Lauder gave Trump the idea to take control of Greenland during the president’s first term. Lauder later invested in a freshwater bottling company in Greenland despite it supposedly being unprofitable. However, the company was co-owned by Jørgen Wæver Johansen, who has political connections in the country including being married to Greenland’s minister of foreign affairs.

Other billionaires would soon follow suit with the aforementioned rich men like Amazon’s Jeff Bezos, Microsoft’s Bill Gates, OpenAI founder, Sam Altman all investing in KoBold Metals. Former NYC mayor Michael Bloomberg also invested in the company while another silicon valley fat-cat, Peter Thiel, funded the start-up, Praxis, with the goal of building a technology-driven “freedom city” in Greenland.

Without trying to sound like a tinfoil-hat-wearing conspiracy theorist, it seems like the billionaires knew something we didn’t. Now that Trump is pushing hard to take control of Greenland it seems like these people were all just trying to grab a slice of the pie before it was ever served.

All of these men seem to view the country as nothing more than a resource to be plundered. To make more money while no doubt destroying the natural beauty and vast ecosystem that lives there, (not to mention the fact this will likely upend the way of life of Greenland’s citizens).

This is greed, plain and simple. It’s a mad scramble for more power and more money with no regard for how this will affect everyday people. No wonder Donald Trump is so eager to move on Greenland, all he’s thinking about is how much profit him and his billionaire pals stand to make.
