Like a glitchy radio, Marjorie Taylor Greene is back to declaring how Donald Trump will curse America with ‘God’s wrath’

At this point, she is literally asking him to boot her.

Israel’s war in Gaza continues to be another major issue fragmenting MAGA, and now Marjorie Taylor Greene has decided to finally put her foot down with a long statement that goes just far enough to show personal concern. But never quite far enough to actually point at the people complicit, like Donald Trump.

Greene took to Twitter to announce to her 4.9 M followers that enough is enough when it comes to Gaza. She was mostly concerned that Senator Lindsey Graham had recently shared in a speech that Israel is not committing a genocide but if they wanted to, they would. Greene took great umbrage at this statement — but mostly for financial reasons. She stated that if Israel can fund their onslaught on Gaza, then America should not be going into debt to help facilitate it. Greene ended her statement by saying that America should ensure the genocide stops and the hostages are returned. She even made some bold theological claims that God might bring wrath to the US for enabling the starving of children.

Greene never explicitly mentioned Trump once. Which is a glaring oversight considering the president went far and beyond to ensure that the Israeli Prime Minister’s accusation of crimes against humanity goes nowhere. Trump took the controversial decision to sanction the International Criminal Court for pointing the finger at Benjamin Netanyahu for the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. But somehow Greene didn’t mention this. If she truly does believe there’s a genocide in Gaza and that the US is funding it, then who is ensuring this happens?

Of course, it’s no surprise that Greene is not willing to directly criticize Trump. For some politicians, this may be just another wave to hop on, but not one worth hopping off the MAGA wave just yet. So she will continue fighting off Laura Loomer for Trump’s soul for the time being, and for someone who loves flattery as much as the president does — doing that while directly criticizing him is going to bear undesirable results.

Greene’s grandstanding was on the other side of the aisle not too long ago. According to Newsweek, when students on campuses were protesting for an end to the war that she’s now suddenly so vehemently opposed to, she posted on X: “I hope every Pro-Hamas student that walks out of their classes today protesting against Israel gets a failing grade. We need to defund all colleges and universities that promote these antisemitic protests. Stop rewarding bad behavior.” Furthermore, even if it was purely a financial decision, she was infamously the lawmaker who voted to increase the deficit without even reading the Trump megabill.

Greene is not someone you can take seriously, especially in matters as grave as Gaza, where people are being denied access to food and reporters are found dead from strikes almost every other week. To some politicians, this is just another opportunity to secure points for being “on the right side of history.”

Regardless, however, the situation is grave enough for the people who support the movement to end the war in Gaza to accept anyone who also wants the war to end. No matter their motive.
