Secret Service investigates after Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem’s bag snatched in DC restaurant

On Sunday night, Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem had her bag stolen while she was eating at a restaurant in downtown Washington, D.C. The Secret Service is currently investigating the incident.

As reported by CNN, Law enforcement sources with knowledge of the situation say an unidentified white man wearing a medical mask took Secretary Noem’s bag from the restaurant. The theft happened during dinner service on Easter evening.

The Secret Service, which is in charge of protecting Secretary Noem, started an investigation right after they were told about the theft. Agents looked at security camera footage from the restaurant, which showed the theft, and gave them a description of the suspect.
