Stormy Daniels ordered by court to pay Donald Trump $122,000 in legal fees

This is on top of the 500k that's already owed to Donald Trump.

Adult star Stormy Daniels was ordered by the 9th US Circuit Court of Appeals to pay Donald Trump an extra $122,000 in legal fees. This stems from the 2018 defamation lawsuit that Daniels filed, suing the former president after an unknown man confronted the adult star, telling her to keep quiet about her alleged affair with Trump.

New York Post reported that the former president accused Daniels of “lying” about the “non-existent man” that confronted her in public and claimed that it was a “total con job.” Daniels already owes Trump roughly $500k after the 2018 lawsuit was dismissed by the judge. According to CBS, Daniels claimed that the initial fees were “too high.” However, the court found her comments “not well-founded.”

“The court found that her “argument that the fee request is unreasonable and excessive is not well-founded.” The court denied a small fraction of the fees submitted: Trump’s request for $5,150 to prepare the document for the fee reply because it was “not itemized.”

It was also reported by CBS that this ruling for Daniels to pay the extra legal fees came after Trump’s arraignment, where the former president was charged with 34 counts of “falsifying business records in the first degree,” to which he pled not guilty. These charges also include the alleged “hush money” payments he made to Daniels during the 2016 election.

Trump celebrated his victory on Truth Social, stating that “Stormy ‘Horseface’ Daniels” will have to pay him over $600k in legal fees, alongside criticizing Alvin Bragg and the NYPD for “shutting down New York City” using taxpayer dollars due to his Manhattan court appearance.

“Alvin Bragg shut down New York City, brought in 38,000 NYPD officers, and will spend an estimated $200,000,000 of NYC funds, for a totally legal $130,000 NDA. On top of all that, the 9th Circuit Court just awarded me $122,000 — over the $500,000 already awarded, from Stormy “Horseface” Daniels!”

Daniels has commented about her recent defeat, claiming that she’d rather “go to jail than” pay any money to the former president.
