‘This man is a lunatic’: Donald Trump has a very Donald Trump response to Pope Francis’ death, not that we expected anything else

You can't even fake being shocked this time.

Donald Trump is known for a lot of things – his greed, his many, many civil and criminal cases, how he treats and sees women, how he is the healthiest president to ever walk the Earth, and oh, the list is long. Those who know the man are aware that tact and being sensitive to the plight of others never made it to this list of his unique qualities. So, it is understandable when this same ability deserted him while addressing Pope Francis’ death.

Pope Francis’ funeral is scheduled to take place on April 26, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. in St. Peter’s Square, Vatican City. World leaders are expected to attend his last rites, including Argentine President Javier Milei, the kings of Spain, French President Emmanuel Macron, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, and, of course, the U.S. President.

Before we jump to Trump’s heartfelt words for the pope, let’s see what other world leaders have said about him. Former President Joe Biden called him a “moral compass,” King Charles expressed “deep sadness” while remembering Francis’ efforts in promoting peace, while French president Emmanuel Macron remembered him as “a man of peace.” And what did the POTUS say?

“Look forward to?” Since Trump seems incapable of grasping the solemnity of a funeral, many would like to tell him that he is not about to attend a vacation or mark his attendance at a party in Mar-a-Lago.

Before his MAGA loyalists jump to defend their idol once more – just like they have defended all his hare-brained, destructive ideas till now – I would like to remind them that Trump has never projected a tactful or respectful capability in his life.

When he visited Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria, he said it was not a “real catastrophe” and mocked those affected by casually commenting that the cost of relief efforts had “thrown our budget a little out of whack.” This same man insulted the American war dead as “losers” and “suckers” as he questioned the point of honoring them and insinuated that fallen U.S. Army Captain Humayun Khan’s grieving mother wasn’t “allowed” to speak. Or when he told the late U.S. Army Sgt. La David Johnson’s widow, Myeshia Johnson that her husband “knew what he signed up for.”

Compared to his past examples demonstrating his ability to be shockingly disrespectful, he almost kept his lack of manners on the downside this time, right MAGA?
