‘Trump is not well’: President allegedly excluded from military operation over fear his tantrums would get troops killed

Seems like the White House tactic is to treat him like an grumpy toddler.

Donald Trump is circling the drain. He was never the most balanced and calm individual, but it seems that things have come to a head in the White House, and action is being taken to exclude him from specific events in case he throws a tantrum and gets people killed.

That’s the disquieting update from The Wall Street Journal, which over the weekend published a behind-the-scenes exposé of what’s going on behind the scenes at the White House during the war. It’s a powerfully disconcerting read, underlining that the future of every man, woman, and child on the planet is in the hands of a 79-year-old toddler.

One particularly telling passage revolves around the recent rescue of the pilots shot down over Iran. Trump demanded they be retrieved immediately, fearing that he’d look terrible if they were killed. It seems he was eager to directly involved, though White House decides that the president should be “kept out of the room” as “his impatience wouldn’t be helpful”.

That’s not good! The President of the United States cannot be trusted to remain in a room during a crucial mission because he’s so chaotic and irresponsible that he’d actively put troops’ lives in danger. And this is the guy with his finger on the nuclear button.

Sure won’t be long for him now

It won’t have escaped your notice that Trump is increasingly erratic even by his standards and is currently pummelling the “post” button on Truth Social as he frantically tries to make reality conform to his delusions:

You can also be assured that Trump is not going to mentally recover from this or suddenly snap back to his old self. The political debacle he’s gone out of his way to engineer is collapsing around him, damaging him politically, and every bit of news only makes him look worse.

Where we go from here is anyone’s guess, though as support for Trump declines it’s likely to generate a feedback loop in which he grows ever more furious with the American people for refusing to recognize his self-proclaimed greatness.

You can bet that senior Republicans already know that Trump must be removed from the presidency, the only real question is when the most politically opportune time is. Break with him too early, and MAGA will call you a traitor (hi MTG!), stick with him too long, and he’ll drag you down with him.

But, if we’ve already gotten to the point where White House aides are frantically trying to distract this big baby to stop him from ruining a critical rescue operation, he may be gone sooner than you might think. We can’t know for sure what’s being discussed quietly in the White House about Trump’s future, but one thing’s for sure. He’s not going to go quietly.
