Fan says spectators at a Houston high school volleyball game told their group to stop cheering, then threatened to call ICE on their parents

Even though they were filming, they kept shouting.

Some spectators at a high school volleyball game in Houston, Texas, have allegedly directed racist comments and threats, which involve ICE, toward some students and their families. The incident has reportedly occurred at Stephen F. Austin High School, as seen in a TikTok video. A group of attendees from the opposing school, identified by the poster as Kashmere High School, allegedly confronted those cheering for the home team, according to The Nerd Stash.

User @htxgeorge06 posted two videos of the confrontation, which allegedly started because the opposing spectators were annoyed by the cheering. According to the user, their group was simply supporting their team when the adults told them to stop. When the students asked what they did wrong, the adults reportedly questioned why the students were arguing with an adult.

The situation reportedly got worse during the second set of the volleyball game. The user alleged that the spectators threatened to call ICE on their parents and made racist remarks about Hispanic people. However, the videos do not show how the argument began, as the poster’s account is the only description of what happened before filming started.

One video appears to catch someone threatening to call ICE on the students’ parents

In the first video, the volleyball game continues on the court while a loud argument happens in the stands. One woman is heard saying, “f— you, and whoever is related to you.” The person recording the video replies, “Oh, that’s family friendly. That’s pretty family friendly. Thank you for telling me that. Thank you. Thank you.”

The second video provides a clearer look at the alleged threats. As the players are visible in their blue uniforms, someone in the stands yells, “We’re going to call ICE on your parents.” Some people in the crowd laugh during this exchange.

Another person follows up with, “Your mama needs to go back to Mexico.” The person recording the video calls out the remark by saying, “You’re being racist.” Throughout this heated exchange, the volleyball players keep playing their game, seemingly caught in the middle of a situation that has nothing to do with the sport.

The alleged comments mirror other recent viral confrontations involving ICE threats. A Minnesota woman reportedly threatened ICE on Wendy’s workers during a heated drive-thru order. In California, a woman allegedly yelled “go back to Mexico” as a mariachi band played at a couple’s proposal.

The poster claims they spoke with the school principal and shared the video footage to show their group had not insulted the other spectators. However, the user claimed that the individuals who allegedly made the comments were not removed from the volleyball game. The user also allegedly reached out to the Kashmere High School community and asked them to calm down.
