Trump’s Greenland argument collapses after he shares a post claiming China and Russia — his supposed threats — are just boogeymen

Wait so Trump is saying Russia and China aren't a threat?

For weeks Donald Trump has been drilling home the importance of securing Greenland to protect from the threat of Russia and China, however, a recent post shared by the president himself claims that the two countries that supposedly pose the most threat are merely boogeymen and that the real threat comes from within.

Trump shared the conspiratorial screenshot on Truth Social where he usually shares his most unhinged content. The image comes from a post on X which asks when “are we going to realize the enemy comes from within.” The person who wrote the post goes on to claim that Russia and China are “boogeymen” and that “the real threat is the U.N., NATO and this “religion”… It’s not a religion, it’s a cult.”

Obviously Trump was trying to stir up some anti-U.N., anti-NATO, and anti-Islam feelings by sharing the post but he seems to have inadvertently exposed his own lies about Russia and China being a threat to Greenland

Does Donald Trump even know what he’s saying?

The main takeaway people are getting from what he shared is that he’s now trying to say that Russia and China shouldn’t be viewed as enemies to the U.S. “Wait, I thought we had to take Greenland because Russia and China were threatening them?” pointed out one individual, another made a point to remind everyone how Trump rolled out the red carpet for Putin when he visited the U.S.

This sounds an awful lot like Trump trying to cozy up to Russia again and it’s got people concerned, “Can we now stop pretending that the US under Trump is not an enemy?”

There has always been suspicion around Trump’s on again off again relationship with Putin, there has even been speculation of American intel being leaked to Russia and now it seems Trump is trying to convince people that Russia is not the enemy despite telling everyone what a threat the country was a literal day ago.

The president can’t seem to make up his mind who the real enemy is. One moment it’s Russia and China, then it’s NATO, the U.N., and Islam apparently. It is blatantly clear he’s making it up as he goes along, whatever suits his current goal that’s the story he’ll go with.

It seems Trump has simply found a new scapegoat to pin the blame on. It’s also incredibly ironic to see him sharing a post calling Islam a cult when MAGA is arguably one of the largest and most deluded cults of all time. The president’s supporters seem incapable of questioning him or calling him out on his obvious BS despite how contradictory it is.
