US diplomat reportedly secretly flown out of UK after being linked to ‘crimes against children,’ British MP furious, ‘police were not informed’

A British MP has accused US authorities of secretly flying an unnamed diplomat accused of child sexual offences out of the country. In an official letter to the British Secretary of State for Justice, Nick Timothy MP alleged that the US authorities actively worked to block British cops from making an arrest.

Timothy references “reports that an American diplomat accused of child sex offences was secretly removed from the country by US authorities” and says, “there is a serious risk that this person could have committed crimes against children in this country, and might have been in touch with child sex offencers.

He uses the words “cover-up”, saying that the legal guidance “is clear that British authorities can request diplomatic immunity be waived so that a prosecution can proceed. But there has been no investigation or prosecution by British authorities, risking a cover-up that threatens justice and the safety of children.”

Timothy references the case of Sarah Steele, who was allegedly sexually assaulted by a US pilot stationed at USAF Lakenheath. As in this case, the pilot did not face British justice, but instead a “US military court outside English law” where his fate was decided by a “jury made up of her abusers’ fellow officers.”

The Sun went on to describe the diplomat (who they openly dub a “paedophile”) being quietly flown out of the United Kingdom in what they bill as a “cloak-and-dagger operation.”) That report alleges authorities were led to him through an investigation into his US-based brother, who is accused of sending “abusive material” to the diplomat.

That resulted in a reported dawn raid by Marine Security Guards stationed at the US Embassy in London on the diplomat’s London apartment, where they “found child abuse images.” That same day, a cargo plane flew from the UK to Dover Air Force Base in Delaware, then to Chicago O’Hare. It was only at this point that British authorities were apparently informed that the diplomat was no longer in their jurisdiction.

The Sun quotes their source, who says: “We think they have taken him to a US airbase and flown him 4,000-plus miles to where his brother was being investigated. We think it was a dawn raid before they then took him to the base in a US military convoy.”

The source adds: “This has caused enormous ripples right through to Downing Street and the Home Office — everyone is talking about it. The Americans’ actions have been outrageous and left people utterly furious.”

The US Embassy has put out a statement: “A US Embassy spokesperson said: “We are aware of allegations concerning an individual assigned to the Embassy. The United States government expects all personnel to adhere to the highest standards of conduct, and we take these allegations seriously.”
