‘We’ve been warning for weeks’: Tim Walz addresses the ICE shooting encourages people not to ‘let them tear us apart’

Tim Walz said this would happen.

Minnesota Governor, Tim Walz, has addressed the fatal shooting of mother of three, Renee Nicole Good in Minneapolis this week. In a speech on Tuesday, Walz accused President Donald Trump of conducting “dangerous” operations and that he had warned of the possibility of people getting hurt mere hours before the deadly incident.

The shooting of Renee Nicole Good has sent shockwaves across the U.S., but unfortunately, many of us saw this coming. The rising tension between ICE and the citizens of America has been approaching a boiling point for quite some time now.

The federal agency has been terrorizing immigrants and citizens alike, ignoring laws and randomly kidnapping individuals based on no evidence at all. On the other side, regular people have been doing what they can to stand up to Trump’s thugs without stooping to their level. This tension led to figures like Tim Walz warning that somebody was going to get hurt by Trump’s operations, but it seems the current administration doesn’t care as ICE raids have ramped up in the past few months.

Tim Walz addresses the tragedy

Now a civilian is dead after an ICE agent needlessly fired upon her as she drove away in her car. Walz reminded his audience that he and others had warned about this eventuality many times in the past few weeks but their pleas were ignored.

“We’ve been warning for weeks that the Trump administration’s dangerous, sensationalized operations are a threat to our public safety.” Walz states, “What we’re seeing is the consequences of governance designed to generate fear, headlines, and conflict.”

He goes on to say that he reached out to Kristi Noem and that he was waiting to hear back. However, it seems Noem and the rest of Trump’s cabinet do not feel any remorse for Renee Nicole Good’s death.

Donald Trump and his cronies have tried to claim that Nicole Good had used her vehicle as a weapon and run over one of the officers. Even Trump himself perpetuated that narrative, however, witnesses allege that agents denied medical aid to the woman in the aftermath of the incident.

The video of the incident also tells a different story. Many who analyzed the footage available online claimed that the ICE agent was not in danger of losing his life and he certainly did not need to discharge his weapon.

Despite this it seems many have fully bought into the Trump administration’s version of events, “If you try to run over a law enforcement officer, it won’t work out for you.” Wrote one person on X. However, another did commend Walz for using the “rising to the moment perfectly,” claiming that Trump was “a grave danger to the world.”
