White House aide Natalie Harp’s brother calls out his sister’s ‘unhealthy obsession’ with Donald Trump: ‘actually kind of sad’

"I don’t think it’s a physical attraction, let’s get real.

Natalie Harp has recently risen to prominence as Donald Trump‘s “Special Assistant to the President”. Harp has made headlines for her apparent close relationship with Trump, with video apparently showing her posting on Truth Social for him and being described as a “a one-woman conduit of information” and “human printer” for Trump.

Long a background figure in the Trump administration, Natalie recently made headlines after becoming one of the lucky few Trump allowed inside his airplane catering container after the reported assassination threat from Iran.

That led Senator Jon Ossoff to mention her while criticizing Trump, saying:  “He doesn’t want to do the job. He wants to build his ballroom and travel with Natalie on their apparently defenseless flying palace gifted by the emir of Qatar.” The political MAGAsphere promptly erupted with rage at Natalie being singled out.

“I hope that you change and that you wake up”

Now have an entirely different perspective on her, courtesy of her brother Preston Harp. During an appearance on CNN’s Erin Burnett OutFront (via Us) Preston said that he and his sister had been raised to believe that “American exceptionalism was the correct way of looking at things, that the United States is the boss of the world.”

He added: “I think my sister didn’t break out of that delusion that our mom raised us with. Trump is everything my mom taught us to respect, so I think that’s where her infatuation for Trump comes from, honestly. Because I don’t think it’s a physical attraction, let’s get real.”

Preston also gave his best guess why she’s been able to get so close to Trump: “She’s his biggest fan, so that’s probably why he likes her. And she’s good-looking. She’s got a good personality.”

He also addressed a 2023 incident where Natalie was reportedly happy to travel in the trunk of the president’s SUV, saying, “That’s crazy. It’s actually kind of sad. That’s obsession. That’s an unhealthy obsession with someone if you’re going to jump into the trunk of their car.”

When asked if he had a message for his sister, Preston sounded like someone trying to pull a family member out of a cult: “I love you. I hope that you change and that you wake up and realize that everybody on this earth is part of a human family, and no country is better than any other country.”

Natalie has not responded to her brother’s plea and rarely gives public statements in general.
