A woman who has spent months detailing her divorce on social media is back with an update involving an arrest. She says it confirms the warnings she’s been making about her estranged husband.
TikTok creator Elizabeth Anna, who has been posting about her marriage since February and recently relocated to Dallas, told followers in a recent video that her estranged husband was taken into custody on domestic assault and family violence charges. According to Anna, the arrest happened two nights before she posted the video, and the woman involved is someone she knows well.
She says she and her husband had been together since 2019 and that the abuse started in 2021. She describes the final incident, which she says happened on January 27, as the moment she left for good. “I thought he was going to end my life,” she said. She says she filed for divorce shortly after and has since been granted a permanent protective order. She also says a Texas district attorney’s office is pursuing charges tied to the alleged assault.
The woman who defended him
The woman connected to the new arrest is someone Anna refers to as Celeste, a former realtor she says her husband was involved with during their marriage. She says Celeste had previously spoken up online in his defense, insisting he would never hurt a woman.
Two nights before posting the video, she says, he was arrested on domestic assault and family violence charges involving Celeste. She also claims Celeste assaulted the responding police officer, though that detail has not been independently confirmed.
Much of the rest of the video is her sharing her thoughts on the arrest and what she believes it says about her estranged husband. She believes he chooses partners who have a harder time leaving, and she is blunt about what she thinks should happen to him. “The devil is in him, and he can… church can’t save him at this point,” she said.
She had always believed she would leave the first time a man hit her. But after years of what she describes as emotional, psychological, and verbal abuse, she said walking away no longer felt so simple. That experience has been shared by other women who have spoken about leaving abusive marriages.
Anna’s video drew a mix of reactions, with some commenters sharing experiences that sounded similar to her own.
One person wrote, “i always thought i’d walk away when it got bad but it always kept getting worse until i was completely ruined.”
Another commenter simply wrote, “Allegedly ** u forgot to say that.”
Not every comment was about the case itself. Several followers urged her to stay safe, with one writing, “PLEASE be careful, I know you’ve moved but please have some form of protection as well.”
She says she relocated to Dallas less than a week before posting, calling it a fresh start after finally leaving the relationship. “I’m in Dallas. I’m starting over,” she said.
For another woman, an ordinary invitation from a neighbor was enough to make her question behavior she had come to accept as normal and eventually recognize she had been in a controlling relationship, an experience she later shared online.
She says she’ll also be posting a follow-up video focused on Celeste, though she hasn’t said when it will be up.
