Florida man gets stuck in a Walmart toy, witnesses say ‘someone call the fire department.’ Then came the plot twist – he is a firefighter

A July 2026 backyard gathering in Pensacola, Florida, turned into an unexpected rescue mission after a man became stuck inside a children’s toy vehicle that appears to be from Walmart. The moment, shared by TikTok creator Haley Scenna (@palgalhal), drew thousands of reactions, including comments from several official brands, including Walmart and Starry’s official TikTok accounts.

Scenna’s video opens with the man wedged tightly inside the small plastic toy vehicle while several family members and friends try to pull him free. The text overlay reads, “Someone call the fire department.”

The video never suggests anyone actually contacted emergency responders. Instead, viewers joined the joke in the comments as they watched onlookers struggle to free him.

Then came the “plot twist.”

Walmart’s verified TikTok account joined the conversation. The brand asked, “And how did we get here?” Scenna replied with another humorous update. “Oh hello!” Scenna responded, explaining that her nephew Lane owns the toy and will need a replacement.

Another commenter suggested bringing in professionals. “Next time you need to call the fire department because I know for a fact this would make their day.” Scenna then revealed why that advice made the situation even funnier. “It would! He’s a fireman lol.” Then another commenter responded on that thread, “Plot twist lol.”

The revelation became one of the most-liked exchanges beneath the video. What initially looked like someone who might need firefighters to rescue him turned out to be a firefighter himself.

Another verified brand account also joined the discussion. Starry Soda commented, “How did he get in there in the first place hello.” Scenna answered, “Boys will be boys… maybe some drinks to keep us from dehydration.”

As the comments continued, one viewer pointed out that the toy’s roof appeared removable. “This is so funny because the roof easily pops off,” the commenter wrote. Another added, “Doesn’t the yellow part snap off?” Scenna later confirmed that was exactly how they solved the problem.

According to another later reply, they removed the top portion of the toy, allowing the trapped firefighter to climb out without calling for outside help. The video does not explain why he decided to climb into the children’s toy in the first place, or show what happened afterward.

Then, also in July, Cora (@fruitypebl) shared a video of a similar situation in someone’s backyard. Cora captioned the post, “Throwback to when my brother’s friend got stuck in one of these car things for over 3 hours and they had to call the fire department.”
