Marriage is supposed to be two people together in sickness and in health but one woman on TikTok learned that her husband evidently didn’t take their vows literally after he made the selfish decision to buy himself a car rather than pay for her cancer treatment.
TikToker, “itstookate,” took to the platform to expose her husband who she claims is a “closeted masochist.” She’s spoken about his manipulative and abusive behavior many times on her TikTok page. However, it seems the man’s selfishness knows no bounds, as Kate revealed that he was selfishly contemplating purchasing a car rather than help Kate, who is the mother of his child, by offering to pay for her cancer treatment.
A day later Kate posted another video in which she could be seen visibly in tears as she confirmed that her husband had indeed decided to buy the car. “Pay for the cancer treatment for my wife and the mother of my child, or buy a new car because I’m f—ing p—ed at her.” Kate says, recording from inside her car. “How can I not charge him with something? How can not be f—ing held liable for this s–t?” She asks.
She also claims that he is still financially obligated to her, claiming that he “caused all of these issues,” although doesn’t elaborate. Unfortunately her husband’s decision to get a car rather than help his wife could have put her life at risk, something which he seemed to be aware of as he allegedly told their daughter she wasn’t going to have a mom anymore.
What happened next?
In her earlier video, in which Kate first shared that her husband was considering buying a car she stated that the surgery to treat her cancer was two weeks away. Unfortunately, in a video posted later, she confirmed that she wasn’t able to get the surgery as it required a deposit which she could not pay.
Kate explained that the next available slot for surgery was in August meaning she’d have to wait a while. However, she claims that the wait will give her more time to find childcare and arrange for someone to drive her too and from the hospital as she won’t be able to herself. It’s not much of a silver lining, but at least it’s something.
Thankfully the kind people of TikTok have already offered to help Kate out. “What state are you in?? I am sure we have a sister close by.” wrote one commenter. “How can we help queen![?]” asked another. Kate also set up a GoFundMe which has already raised nearly $4k out of a $6k goal.
