‘Is this a rave?’: Woman shocked to find family of drunk baby raccoons having a party on her patio

Animals and TikTok go hand in hand, whether it’s a video of a woman confronting a Coati in her hotel room, or just a wholesome video of a cat, the internet can’t get enough. The latest viral offering from the popular app features a group of party animals going wild on a woman’s patio.

The clip, posted by TikTok user, @glenda_is_nuts features a rowdy bunch of baby raccoons having a party on her patio in the middle of the night. The tipsy trash pandas can be seen knocking plant pots and chairs over, stumbling and walking into things, and even gnawing on some of the plants. Glenda jokes “this is like if Coachella was a dumpster.”

At one point Glenda pans the camera over to her cat, who looks less than impressed.

Eventually mama raccoon does show up but it seems she has no more control over her kids than Glenda and the cat. The party continues under parent supervision with the baby raccoons causing all sorts of havoc.

How does one get invited to a raccoon party (asking for a friend)

All I need to know is where is the next raccoon party and can I get an invite? These guys might have been a little drunk, but where on earth did they manage to get access to alcohol? No-one in their right mind would sell to these guys — they are clearly underage. One viewer did speculate that perhaps they had found some fermented fruits, such as apples, which could have caused them to get drunk. That does sound like a pretty plausible explanation. At least they weren’t doing any hard drugs, like some raccoons. 

These furry fiends get a bad rap but they honestly seem like one of the most chill animals out there. People in the comments couldn’t help but gush over how cute they were. One person wrote, “Why can’t this ever happen to me?” Another wrote, “I’d be heartbroken about my plants but otherwise this is my actual dream come true.”

It might seem like a dream at first but if you’re not the party type then it could be a problem. Turns out the raccoons returned for another night of partying and they were even more chaotic the second time around. Glenda explains that it is 2 AM as we see the mother raccoon dropping off her younglings like this is some kind of daycare (or nightcare).

Maybe these raccoons are partying a little too hard. Everyone likes to have fun and run wild every once in a while but these guys are simply too much. They’re going to have to take their partying ways somewhere else.
