A Frontier Airlines flight was delayed after crew members found feces on the air bridge and refused to leave until they found who did it. TikTok user @pinapplepie33 recorded the strange incident that left passengers stuck on the plane.
According to Bro Bible, the crew would not take off until they solved the problem. No pets were listed for the flight, so staff needed to find out what caused the mess in the walkway to the plane. A flight attendant used the intercom and asked passengers to help find the culprit.
The attendant told everyone over the loudspeaker that the plane was not leaving until they found answers. They even told passengers to report their neighbors if they thought someone was responsible. It was an unusual way to start a flight. The story got stranger when the truth came out.
The culprit turned out to be human, not an animal
The TikTok user confirmed in another video that there was no pet on the plane. Staff had found poop on the floor and carpet in the corridor leading off the plane and thought it was from a dog. Since it was not a dog, passengers wondered what really happened.
The crew had good reason to think it was an animal at first. The U.S. Department of Transportation says pets must be declared and usually cost a fee. They also need to be well-behaved. If a pet pooped on the air bridge, it would show poor training and the crew would want it removed before takeoff.
The problems continued even after the crew knew it was not a pet. Flight attendants deal with many unusual situations, and what crew members say behind the scenes can be revealing. The airline held the flight for another hour because of mechanical issues. After that hour, the pilot said the plane could not fly. Everyone had to get off and was rebooked for the next morning.
The airline’s customer service made things worse. When passengers asked for hotels, the TikToker said staff told them that LA residents would not get hotel rooms paid for and should go home. This upset travelers who were already delayed. The passenger gave up and booked a flight on American Airlines instead.
This incident shows how difficult flying has become. Travel costs more and problems cause quick frustration. Air rage cases jumped from 100 to 150 per year to over 5,700 in 2021. Flight attendants have shared passenger behaviors they wish would stop to make flights smoother for everyone.
