A TikTok traveler is calling out American Airlines after a series of disruptions she says turned multiple trips into frustrating airport ordeals.
Creator Ariana Hubik shared the video after describing multiple stressful experiences with the airline over a two-week period. While her account reflects her personal experience, the video has drawn responses from other travelers who shared their own frustrations with flight delays and cancellations.
According to Ariana, her first issue with the airline happened during a planned trip to Alabama. She said her group arrived at the airport in the early morning hours for a 6 a.m. departure, only to discover that the flight had been canceled and moved to a different airport later that evening.
Recalling the confusion, she said, “we’re at the airport at 3 a.m. at this point just to find out our flight got canceled and moved,” adding that the new airport was “45 minutes away.”
Her second trip brings even more problems
The situation became more complicated when the replacement flight involved another round of disruptions. After reaching the second airport and finding their gate, she claimed passengers were repeatedly moved around the terminal.
“They had to literally like take our gate and move it all the way across the airport,” she said, explaining that the same thing happened multiple times. She added that “our flight also kept getting delayed” before they eventually arrived in Alabama around 1 a.m., hours later than expected.
Ariana said the second incident was even more frustrating. During a later trip from Florida to North Carolina, she claimed her connecting flight was delayed before eventually being canceled completely.
After waiting at the airport, she said, “all of a sudden flight is canceled, literally just canceled,” leaving her and other passengers searching for another option.
After speaking with customer service, she said the next available flight she was offered was not until the following night. “The next flight that was possible was 11 p.m. the next day,” she claimed, adding that some passengers were reportedly moved to flights several days later.
The creator explained that she and other travelers were left trying to figure out their next steps while waiting inside the airport. She said attempts to find a place to rest were unsuccessful, claiming that sleeping pods were unavailable and that she eventually spent the night in a food court. “All I have is my phone and my wallet,” Ariana said, while also explaining that she did not have access to her suitcases during the delay.
The comments section showed that other travelers were quick to share their own experiences with the airline. One commentator shared personal frustrations with the company, claiming, “I hate AA! They left me stranded in an airport for 12 hours and never gave me any compensation.”
Another referenced a recent travel complaint involving American Airlines, writing, “This seems to be happening a lot, I just left from a video by another guy who ended up waiting a full day because AA ran out of fuel.”
Some viewers also said the situation had influenced their future travel decisions. One commenter wrote, “I would have went to another airline,” while another person added, “I loathe AA & UA I’m a Delta ride or die.”
While the reason behind each disruption remains unclear, Ariana’s experience reflects the frustration many travelers share when facing sudden delays, cancellations, and limited options at the airport.
Ariana ended her video by directly addressing American Airlines, saying, “get your crap together because what the heck is going on?”
The video has since become another example of how travelers are using social media to share frustrations when flight plans fall apart, especially when they feel they are struggling to get immediate solutions at the airport.
