‘Quite the clown show’: Intolerant buffoons tear down pride flags outside a gay bar in Paris but don’t notice the camera pointed at their faces

A couple of insecure men have been caught on camera vandalising the front of a business in Paris and their faces are now making the rounds online.

Security footage, which has been shared on Reddit and other social sites such as X, depicts two adult men (with the apparent mental age of children) climb up on a bin and pull down a couple of pride flags which were hanging out the front of a gay bar in the French capital. Apparently these two guys felt so offended by the harmless flags that they simply couldn’t leave them be. Unfortunately it seems people are becoming more and more comfortable displaying their homophobia across the globe.

The perpetrators forgot to cover their faces

Unfortunately for these two bigoted jerks their crime was caught on CCTV. Towards the end of the video the one closest to the camera notices he’s being filmed and warns his friend who proceeds to try and cover his face. But it’s two late for the two stooges who’s faces can be very clearly seen at several points throughout the video. 

As of the time of writing there have been no updates on the status of the two men. Whether they have been apprehended yet is anyone’s guess. Technically this could be considered vandalism but at the same time it’s difficult to imagine police prioritizing the capture of these men. To be fair the video footage of these bozos going viral is a pretty decent punishment.

These guys are just embarrassing themselves

Let’s not forget, Pride month is just around the corner and the LGBTQ+ community are not one you want to mess with. One Redditor called it “small d energy” and we couldn’t agree more. Imagine feeling so insecure at the sight of a colorful flag that you feel the need to tear it down.

The footage exposes just how clumsy and smooth-brained these guys are from the guy in the background falling off the trash can and then kicking it in anger to the panicked rush to cover their faces after noticing the camera. These guys have got to be some of the most inept criminals ever caught on film.

People continued to pile on with jokes at the men’s expense, one individual joked about the futility of pulling down the flags, “Phew… Now all the gay is gone. They store their power in their flags, obviously.” Another suggested that “They wanted them for themselves how sweet.”

In the end these guys have only made themselves look foolish, childish, and insecure. It’s embarrassing that they felt so offended by the mere existence of the pride flags that they had to tear them down and stomp on them. Hopefully this video haunts them for a long long time.
