Texas woman films neighbor body-slamming her apartment door while mumbling ‘Hail Satan.’ Then he’s arrested, released, and returns to the same complex

She says she’s avoiding her apartment now.

A woman living at Skyhouse Frisco Station in Frisco, Texas, says she is staying away from her apartment after a neighbor who allegedly tried to break in was released and returned to the property. Taylor Renee shared a video of the incident on TikTok, and the clip has since gone viral.

The 11-second video, filmed through Taylor’s peephole, shows a man pushing against her door and trying to force the handle open. At one point in the clip, the man appears to body-slam the door. Frisco police were called to the scene and took the man into custody, Taylor said. He has since been released, according to her account, and she said he is back at the apartment complex. “I will be moving immediately,” Taylor said in response to a comment on the video.

She said she was cleaning her apartment with her boyfriend and dog inside when the incident occurred. She added her boyfriend first heard knocking at the door, though she did not see anyone when she checked the peephole. A neighbor’s footage seems to have confirmed the knocking before the alleged break-in attempt began.

Video shows multiple attempts to force open apartment door

In the clip, a man is seen pressing against the door and attempting to manipulate the handle or lock. The footage shows him body-slamming the door at least twice before the recording ends. Taylor can be heard reacting to the moment, saying “Oh.”

In a follow-up video, Taylor said the man apparently believed his wife was inside her apartment, though she did not say why he held that belief. A friend of Taylor’s said the man was also mumbling phrases including “Hail Satan, worship the demon” while slamming against the door. Disputes between neighbors can escalate in different ways, as seen in a separate case where notes left over a parking dispute turned into a back-and-forth exchange of insults.

Taylor said the man may have been under the influence of drugs at the time. Police were called to the apartment, and an officer reportedly had to force the door open since it had already been damaged during the alleged attempt to break in, based on footage Taylor shared.

Taylor said she was disappointed with the response from her leasing office, which she said offered her the option to break her lease but did not propose other solutions. In a more recent update, she said the man had been released from custody and was back at the apartment complex. She said she has been staying elsewhere since then for her own safety.

Please spread awareness. I live at Skyhouse Frisco Station. This was my neighbor that lives right across from me that tried breaking into my apartment. I am very thankful for Frisco PD who responded quickly. But what worries me is that I was targeted as a female. Even if this man gets evicted, what about the women that live at the next place he moves to…… #frisco #friscosafety #skyhousefrisco

In her TikTok caption, Taylor wrote, “Please spread awareness. I live at Skyhouse Frisco Station. This was my neighbor that lives right across from me that tried breaking into my apartment. The video drew a large response on TikTok, gaining over 1.2 million views. Several commenters urged Taylor to take steps to protect her safety. One commenter wrote, “Y’all not Texas enough for me.” Another wrote, “Apartments scare me for this reason! So glad they responded quickly.”

Other commenters described differing experiences at the same property or offered safety advice. One person wrote, “I moved away from that place in Feb. Safety was a big issue.” Another said, “This is so crazy to me that everyone can have such different experiences, when i lived there a little over a year ago they were so good about security, even at the front desk. glad you’re okay tho!!”

Concerns about safety at apartment complexes have also surfaced elsewhere, including reports describing women reporting peeping Toms near their windows at a separate residential complex.

One commenter raised a legal point, writing, “Sadly due to fair housing laws they cannot tell you about crime in the community or area which I think IS RIDICULOUS but you can always request it from the Police Department. I’m so sorry this happened to you this is absolutely terrifying. Glad you’re safe.”

Another commenter reacted by writing, “This is why I don’t live in a city! I moved out to the deep neck of the country area!” A separate commenter suggested, “Leave a Google review for the property so those who live there are aware and those considering leasing there as well. This is scary! Glad you’re ok!!!”
