Texas woman visits Dallas Goodwill and makes eye contact with another woman. Then she allegedly starts chasing her: ‘You are the angel of death!’

She says the woman asked, "Do you love the mother of Mary?"

A woman’s visit to what she described as the largest Goodwill store in Texas took an unexpected turn after she said another shopper allegedly chased her through the aisles while repeatedly calling her “the angel of death.” According to TikTok creator Jessica (@jessicaschlorke), in June 2026 she was visiting her parents in the Dallas area when she decided to visit the recently opened Goodwill location in Garland, about 20 miles from downtown Dallas.

Jessica said she grabbed a coffee before heading into the store and initially planned to film her shopping trip. Instead, she said the visit ended abruptly after an encounter with another woman. “So much for finishing that TikTok. Or finding anything in there,” she said.

Jessica explained that she was browsing with her AirPods in when a woman made eye contact with her. Thinking the stranger wanted to say hello, she paused her podcast. According to Jessica, the woman first asked whether she was having a good day before asking, “Do you love the mother of Mary?”

Jessica says she politely declined the interaction, but the woman pressed the issue

After hearing the questions, Jessica said she replied, “Oh, no, thank you. No, thank you,” then resumed listening to her podcast and continued shopping. But she alleged the interaction escalated.

Jessica said the woman raised her voice and repeatedly yelled, “You are the angel of death!” She alleged that the woman then chased her through the store while continuing to shout the same phrase.

Jessica then recalled stopping when other shoppers blocked the aisle. At that point, she said a store employee asked whether the woman was bothering her. Jessica said she answered yes and told nearby shoppers that she did not know the woman. Rather than continue shopping, Jessica said she returned her cart and decided to leave.

But according to Jessica, the woman followed her outside into the parking lot and continued yelling. “Oh, now you don’t wanna talk to me? Angel of Death! Angel of death!” Jessica recalled the woman shouting. Jessica said she hurried to her vehicle, locked the doors, and drove away.

She also said a store employee told her the woman had been at the location before. That statement came from Jessica’s TikTok account and has not been independently verified.

In her post, Jessica added, “If you are planning on going there, just keep an eye out for her. The worker said that she had been there before. I don’t know why they haven’t called the police yet, but that was terrifying.”

Jessica also speculated about what might have motivated the encounter, asking viewers, “Is she a human trafficker? I don’t know.” She did not provide any evidence supporting that possibility.

As of publication, no local media report or public statement from Goodwill or the Garland Police Department confirms the incident. But the video’s comments included one response from a user who claimed to have witnessed part of the encounter firsthand. “omgggg i was there and saw her yelling at you and other people, we were all so confused. i’m so sorry this happened to you,” the commenter wrote.
