‘Took down a whole plane of people’: Mother ploughs ahead with Disney trip despite family’s viral illness, the result is as gross as you’d expect

A mother on TikTok is receiving some harsh criticism from netizens after sharing her nightmare story about a trip to Disneyland that went horrifically wrong thanks to a viral infection.

Her story of viral infection has since gone viral in the other sense as viewers recoiled in disgust at what went down on the trip. While the original video and account associated with it seems to have disappeared, likely due to the intense backlash, we all know that the internet is forever and reuploads have already appeared on TikTok.

The video in question is an almost 6-minute recounting of a mother’s experience taking her family to Disneyland despite the fact that they were evidently very sick on the night prior to the trip. The woman claims she and her daughter were both vomiting before their trip. 

Rather than cancel the trip or move the dates, the mother decided to go on forward with the plan, believing that her and her daughter may have simply gotten a minor case of food poisoning and they would be better by the next day. Unfortunately for her, she was wrong, very wrong.

She certainly doesn’t hold back on those gory details. The fact that her infant child got sick before the flight and her husband threw up on the flight suggests whatever illness they had it was serious. The worst part by far is the fact that her baby’s poop exploded out of the diaper and she only had two wipes. Imagine the smell in that cabin. “YOU TOOK DOWN A WHOLE PLANE of people,” one person commented on the reupload.

TikTok puts the mother on blast for her selfish decision

This was no doubt a memorable Disney trip for the family. While she may have initially shared the video as a humorous retelling of a traumatic event, many didn’t see the humor in it. Some speculated what kind of illness the woman had with a few suggesting it was norovirus. According to clevelandclinic.org, norovirus symptoms include nausea, vomiting and diarrhea.

Others made more personal digs at the woman with one writing, “The second i heard the country accent i knewww! She definitely was against the masks in 2020.”

The worst part is that the caption claims she had travel insurance, meaning that they absolutely could have changed the date of the holiday, or got their money back to go another time. The mother starts the video by saying she saved for a year for the holiday, so why not rearrange it to a time when the family can actually enjoy it?

It’s important to realize that there are vulnerable people out there who are more susceptible to diseases. One viewer commented “As an individual with leukemia, who took her 2 children to Disney in Feb of last year, this is pretty upsetting to hear.” The mother’s actions meant that she was not only responsible for many on the plane and at Disneyland getting sick, but she also put some people’s lives at risk by travelling when her and her family were so sick.
