Trans traveler was removed from an airport after accusing an employee of repeatedly misgendering them. Then someone mentioned ‘port authority’

A TikTok reaction video posted by Cooter C. Pickens, who uses the account @poundcake9341, showed a clip of an airport gate exchange and the poster’s comments on it. The video’s top caption read, “Trans person kicked out of air-part by TSA! Misgendering.”

The airport footage in the video appeared to show a Delta employee at a gate counter. A digital board behind him displayed “DL 433 Atlanta, GA” and “Boarding Ended.” An on-screen caption on that footage read, “WITH ONE CALM STATEMENT THIS ENDED IN LESS THAN 30 SECONDS!!!”

An off-screen person in the clip asked, “What about when an adult employee misgenders you intentionally?” Pickens, shown in a red shirt reacting to the clip, said, “Oh, for f–k’s sake, here we go.”

Pickens said, “You’re about to be saying, ooh, wonder what’s going to happen.” The employee continued, “I have Port Authority escort you out the building right this moment if you want to play that game with me.” The off-screen person said, “Okay.” The employee asked, “Would you like to continue 3 days before Christmas? I really don’t mind.” The off-screen person replied, “I’m good, I’ll just put this on.” The video notes described the employee putting his hands together in a prayer-like gesture.

The clip then cuts to Pickens. He made a listening gesture, smiled at the camera, and said, “Somebody give that man a raise. I hope he at least flies for free. I know he’s definitely not a DEI hire.
