Woman moves into a new apartment and stays for 1 month. Then she finds a hole in her bedroom wall and sees a red light: ‘Creep hole??????’

She suddenly noticed the opening.

A woman who said she moved into a new apartment about a month earlier shared a TikTok video in which she pointed to a hole in her bedroom wall and described seeing a red light through it. Megan Roberts, who posts as @meganroberts444, filmed the opening in the exposed brick and called it a perfectly drilled hole in the mortar. On-screen text in the clip read, “Creep hole??????”

Roberts filmed a close-up of the hole and said a small red light was visible through the opening. She then walked out of the bedroom and showed the common hallway area that leads to her back door. She stated that tenants and maintenance have access to that space. She pointed out an exit sign farther down the corridor and said she could see through the hole to the carpet she had recently laid down on the other side.

She then said she checked other small openings in the same brick wall and described those as normal little holes. She explained that the larger one looked intentional and did not appear to contain any wires. She said she texted her landlord about the discovery and was left on read, even though the message showed as read around 8 p.m. The video, which has gained over a million views, ended with her asking viewers what they would do. The caption on the post read, “What would yall further do??”

Details shared in the second video about the mirrors and discovery

In a second TikTok video labeled as part two, Roberts apologized in the caption for her language and said she felt conflicted. She pulled back a gray curtain in the bedroom to show large white-framed mirrored panels on the wall. She said that when she first moved in, she asked if she could take the mirrors down. According to her, the landlord said no because the previous tenant had put them up and suggested leaving them in place.

Roberts stated in the video, “There’s no- I live here now, what the f–k does her have to do with me? Very odd.” She panned the camera across the bedroom past a ceiling fan, bed, and nightstand toward the brick wall with the hole. She said she had often recorded in the room and inspected the area but never noticed the opening before. She claimed she initially thought someone might have knocked something while moving items.

She stepped up to the wall, pointed at the small opening, and said, “I was like, oh wow, someone must have just like knocked something when they was moving. How f–king silly of them, right?” She ended the clip by saying she was irritated.

In the caption, she noted that the hole will be caulked and that she plans to further inspect it before covering it with a photo. She wrote that she had already told the landlord and that legally it is their job to fix the issue. She added that she had thought she might be overthinking it, but other experiences in the apartment made the situation feel unsettling to her. Other tenants have reported even stranger discoveries behind their walls, like when a woman found an unexpected roommate living in an apartment wall.

Viewers responded to the original video with a range of suggestions. One commenter questioned the red light and wrote, “that red light…. is it a camera.” Another urged her to contact authorities and wrote, “Call the cops.” A third suggested filling the opening and wrote, “Girl fill it with spray foam.”

One person offered a different explanation and wrote, “It’s for cable, just seal it.” Another proposed a different approach and wrote, “put a camera in the hole to watch who comes to check.” A final commenter wrote, “Everything is a creep hole if you believe hard enough.” Worries about being watched at home do surface elsewhere, such as when another woman allegedly spotted a government surveillance camera aimed at her bedroom.
