A Georgia teacher by the name of Maris Nichols has been accused of molesting six teenagers as well as having an OnlyFans account. Students who discovered her secret also allegedly used it to blackmail the science teacher in order to get better grades.
The 25-year-old Nichols was a former teacher at Alexander High School in Douglassville. Multiple warrants have been issued by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office for Nichols’ Snapchat, OnlyFans, AT&T, along with numerous students and families, reports the New York Post.
Documents obtained by WSB-TV revealed that Nichols was allegedly being blackmailed by students over her apparently having an OnlyFans account. The students supposedly made use of her secret in order to blackmail her for better grades.
The documents also accuse Nichols of allegedly having sex with teen students. Nichols was initially arrested after being accused of having sex with a student in a classroom closet as well as a parked vehicle.
The warrants also revealed other concerning details regarding the former teacher’s supposed conduct. It’s alleged that Nichols was recorded having sex with a student while she was also wearing a “Jesus loves you” sweater.
Investigators are gathering evidence against Maris Nichols
Two weeks after her first arrest Nichols was re-arrested and faced 11 additional charges which included child molestation, evidence tampering, and grooming which involved five other students.
Investigators are seeking surveillance footage from St. Andrews golf course where the 25-year-old supposedly met up with a teen. The investigators are also looking for genetic material and fingerprints from two students in particular and the “Jesus loves you” sweatshirt has also been requested as evidence.
It is alleged that the former science teacher engaged in sexual activity on multiple occasions and at multiple locations, including the aforementioned golf course. She has also been accused of sexting teens and apparently pressured one of the students to delete the messages they had shared shortly before she was arrested the first time.
Investigators have photographed and collected evidence and fingerprints from Nichols’ car, a classroom, and the closet inside Nichols’ classroom. A phone belonging to a family member of Nichols was also included in the warrant. While it belonged to a cousin of the teacher, it had originally been Nichols’.
Nichols’ mother had tried to get Nichols’ aunt to hand the phone over to her but the aunt wanted to hand it over to the police and feared if she handed it to the mother she would destroy the evidence. Nichols’ mother also allegedly tried to get Alexander High School Principal Laura McAdams to hand her the accused teacher’s work laptop.
The investigation into Maris Nichols is currently ongoing.
