A 39-year-old woman named Daniela Aichinger was found lifeless in a pool of blood on the couple’s waterbed in Marchtrenk, Austria, after her daughter discovered her. Reports state that her husband, Robert Aichinger, 51, is under investigation for allegedly sedating her and letting other men sexually assault her while she was unconscious in return for money. She died on June 25 this year from injuries tied to the alleged abuse.
Investigators said text messages showed the husband contacting a neighbor, acknowledging that he had drugged her, and calling her “dead meat.” He was taken into custody on July 2, with a court date set for Wednesday. The first time officers questioned him, he was drunk and told emergency crews there had been “an accident” during “rough sex,” according to 20 Minuten, as cited by The US Mirror.
His earlier partner, a 48-year-old woman who has not been named, later spoke to police about violence she said she faced while they were together. She claimed his behavior grew worse after their first son was born and that he pushed her to have sex with other couples. She said she refused.
Ex-partner told police he punched her in the face after she refused other couples
She told police, according to the Austrian newspaper Krone, as cited by The Express US, “As a result, he sat down on me…and punched me in the face alternately with both fists. I had never experienced him like that before. Eventually, he let go of me and went to sleep.” She said the attack left her with a broken and bruised jaw and bruising on her cheekbone.
She also said her then-husband had “severely beaten” their dog on one occasion. After that, she stated, the dog shook with fear whenever he came near.
A post-mortem examination found both internal and external injuries so severe that emergency medical staff “could do nothing” to save Daniela Aichinger. Reports said death came quickly after a major blood vessel was cut, and she bled out within minutes.
The same night his wife died, the husband allegedly sent the neighbor a photo of her lying unconscious. Such disturbing fantasies of spousal abuse can escalate to lethal violence, like when an 83-year-old Tennessee man killed his wife because he couldn’t bear the thought of her eating oatmeal.
One of his messages read: “I’ll get her properly drunk. Then you can have sex with her again. The way she was whining the other day was amazing.” The neighbor answered, “She almost screamed. You cover her mouth again.” He also thanked the man for “allowing me to use her.” Violent fantasies can lead to dangerous real-world actions, such as when a Virginia man used a fetish website to lure someone for a violent encounter.
A different neighbor told local media, “The wife was very nice, but he was a little strange. He asked me once if I was interested in wife swapping, and I told him no, it was a very strange thing to ask, as I barely knew him. He then started to tell me how he had violent sexual fantasies, and that’s when I started trying to avoid him, to be honest, even our dog found him strange, he’s quite a big and imposing man, in the end, we had to give our pet away because he would start barking when he saw him.”
