6) Supernatural Season 11
How on earth a show about two hot guys killing things that go bump in the night made it this far is anyone’s guess, but… oh wait. Got it. Still though, the fact that Supernatural is currently in its eleventh season is impressive by anyone’s standards, and a huge part of this is down to an extremely dedicated and loyal fanbase.
Fortunately, Supernatural shows no signs of resting on its laurels for its latest season. Star Jensen Ackles has directed an upcoming episode titled “Bad Seed” and another more experimental episode called “Baby” will be set entirely inside Dean’s Chevrolet Impala. Bottle episodes, as they’re often referred to, are either clever experiments that subvert the formula of a show in new and exciting ways or… they can just be a cost effective method of making a boring episode within the limited time available. Here’s hoping for the former…
Over its first ten seasons, Supernatural has built a complex, yet compelling mythology that is well worth investing your time in. However, those wishing to jump in at the eleventh hour should maybe consider taking all their vacation at once for a hardcore Supernatural binge. Honestly, how long could it really take to watch 218 episodes all at once? Wait, don’t worry. This computer has a calculator function. Catching up will only take you roughly around 9810 minutes… so 163.5 hours… good luck!
