8 Things We Want To See In Westworld Season 2

Unlike a lot of shows, HBO's Westworld lived up to all the hype surrounding it before its release and became must-watch television. The sci-fi western drama proved to be a fresh take on the familiar 'robots go rogue' story, offering a multi-layered puzzlebox of a first season. Week by week it piled on the intrigue and mystery, garnering a very active and devoted fanbase of theorists and easter egg hunters. Even better, it then stuck the landing and provided most of the answers that we were looking for in an exciting and satisfying feature-length finale, titled "The Bicameral Mind."

5) Where’s Elsie And Stubbs?

The season 1 finale surprisingly answered most of the riddles that had been built up, but it did leave one question dangling. In previous episodes, we’ve seen both Elsie and Stubbs apparently meet their deaths. But seeing as neither body has been recovered, we think they’re still out there somewhere. Where have they got to, though?

Stubbs was last seen being ambushed by the Ghost Nation, some Native American hosts, so his disappearance can be easily explained away by them having captured him. But have they been tampered with by some human enemy, or are they yet another examples of hosts who’ve gone rogue?

Elsie’s fate seems more set in the sand, as Bernard apparently recalled killing her, upon the instruction of Ford. However, knowing how muddled the hosts’ brains can be he might have been mistaken. After all, it’d be a very ignominious end for the character, if she was to simply have been killed off-screen.

If they are alive, it’ll be interesting to see if the characters return immediately in season 2 or if their absence becomes an ongoing mystery. Most of all, we’d like to see the mentor/student relationship between Bernard and Elsie re-visited and explore how his true nature affects her.
