When Marvel announced plans to bring Daredevil, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and Jessica Jones to Netflix, there was a lot of excitement about the news from fans. However, it was clear from the start that the latter didn’t have quite so much hype surrounding it, despite the fact that there had been rumours about A.K.A. Jessica Jones for years. The other three characters – particularly Daredevil – were ones fans had been desperate to see make their debuts in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but Jessica Jones? Not so much.

However, as the cast was assembled and the first images were released, the tide started to change. The release of a series of teaser trailers have certainly done the job, too (the latest finally introduced us to David Tennant’s Purple Man), and we now have a very cool new poster to go with them.

Illustrated by comic book artist Alex Maleev, it sets the tone of the series nicely, and is a pretty cool call back to the fact that the Daredevil artist actually provided a piece of artwork for that show’s finale (a newspaper’s artist’s interpretation of the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen, in case you missed it).

So, for a series which at one point had very little hype, the excitement surrounding Jessica Jones is now palpable. And, in case you’re wondering, all thirteen episodes of the show will hit the online streaming service on November 20th.
