There’s still a few months to go before the fourth season of hit FX anthology series American Horror Story: Freakshow debuts, but today, a great fan-made teaser trailer has landed in the web, one so compelling that many assumed it was official.

The 22-second clip, titled “Fallen Angel,” shows a horrifying image of a woman who looks like she has wings that were screwed into her back. Behind her, the wings are being maneuvered by a creepy, painted-faced man in evil clown attire. Needless to say, this clip, although revealing nothing in the way of spoilers, gave fans a taste of just how terrifying the new season of American Horror Story might be.

Although the trailer didn’t come directly from the network, according to THR, it is available on their official YouTube page.

American Horror Story: Freakshow will feature veteran cast members Sarah Paulson (who will have two heads this season), Evan Peters, Angela Bassett, Frances Conroy and Kathy Bates. All of which will be portraying performers in the 1950s Jupiter, Florida freakshow run by Jessica Lange’s character, a German ex-pat. Emma Roberts and Denis O’Hare will also be part of the mix, but their roles are still being kept under wraps.

Ryan Murphy, showrunner, also announced that Gabourey Sidibe, Jamie Brewer, and most of the season three cast would be making appearances throughout the season in “some capacity.” And fans have the addition of The Shield‘s Michael Chiklis to look forward to as well, as he will be playing the ex-husband to Bates’ character, father of Peters’ character, and current husband to Bassett’s character. Along with the already exceptional ensemble cast, Wes Bentley will have an arc during the two-part Halloween episode airing in late October.
