Are Mauricio Umansky and Emma Slater from ‘Dancing With The Stars’ dating? The speculation, explained

This duo's chemistry might go beyond the ballroom...

From dance partners to romantic partners, could Mauricio Umansky and Emma Slater be secretly dating?

For those who are unfamiliar, Umansky is a real estate mogul who represents some of the world’s top celebrities, developers, and resort brands. Starring in Buying Beverly Hills, the 53-year-old has also played a key role within The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills due to his relationship (or should we say former relationship?) with Kyle Richards.

Currently going through an extremely public divorce, Mauricio decided to make a name for himself beyond the breakup, ultimately blazing his own trail and competing on season 32 of Dancing With The Stars. Despite wanting to keep his dating life far more private, there seems to be some flirtatiousness between him and his also newly-divorced partner, the one and only Emma Slater, causing rumors to arise.

After being in the bottom two during week one, it appears to have been smooth sailing for the pair since then. Receiving their highest scores just last week during the first-ever “Disney100” night, after dancing an oh-so spicy paso doble to “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice” from Fantasia, tonight (October 24) is gearing up to be the pair’s best routine to date.

With Mauricio and Emma dancing a extremely emotional contemporary routine to “Rise Up” by Andra Day for “Most Memorable Year” night, could this be their best performance? After all, their chemistry is already one step ahead of the other duos!

After what appeared to be a romantic dinner date last night (Oct. 23) that took their relationship to the next level, we’ve dived in to see the speculation as to whether or not Mauricio and Emma have a connection that goes beyond the ballroom

Last night, after a one-on-one dinner in Beverly Hills, Mauricio and Emma were spotted holding hands with one another – how wild is that?

According to TMZ, “sources with direct knowledge” claimed that the “hand-holding was spurred on by a deep convo” that occurred during their meal. Opening up about his former relationship, as well as his rocky road to real estate success, it looks like the duo could be connecting on a level that goes beyond the dance floor.

Because of these rumors, we can’t help but think about the controversial comments Brooke Burke made on former Dancing With The Stars pro Cheryl Burke‘s podcast, Sex, Lies and Spray Tans, earlier this month, which revealed that she almost had an affair while starring in the beloved competition series alongside current judge Derek Hough – yikes!

“You are intertwined with someone’s body when you’re not a dancer. There is no way that I have ever been so connected — besides with a lover or a husband — than I was with Derek, and it’s every single day… For three months, you are in someone’s arms. Why do you think people fall in love? You smell them, you feel them, you’re breathing with them,” she explained.

If this sentiment holds true for all Dancing With The Stars pairs, we would not be shocked if Mauricio and Emma have locked lips at least once or twice. After all, this evening is certain to feature their most emotion-filled dance yet!

To see how Mauricio Umansky and Emma Slater’s chemistry translates into the ballroom, tune into “Most Memorable Year” night from 8pm to 10pm ET/PT on either ABC or Disney Plus, with next-day streaming on Hulu.
