Arrow EP Teases New Costumes For The Final Season

Arrow comes to an end this fall when The CW show reaches its eighth and final season. We don't know for sure what shape the run will take, but there looks to be some changes before it concludes as a new tweet teases that Team Arrow will be sporting fresh costumes when they return after the summer.

EP Marc Guggenheim shared two pics on Twitter today which took the form of close-up snaps of outfits on a rack. “Arrow’s Final Season is in prep…” Guggenheim wrote, tagging showrunner Beth Schwartz.

Have a look at the glimpse of these costumes in the gallery below:

So, what are we looking at here? Well, the first appears to a shot of the shoulder of an all-black outfit. This brings to mind the kind of thing worn by Black Canary. This is probably what Juliana Harkavy’s Dinah Drake will be wearing in season 8. However, it could also be a hint that Katie Cassidy’s Laurel Lance will be suiting up as Black Canary again, following her stint in the costume last season.

Next up, the second image looks like a glimpse at the torso of a green costume with black detailing. This is presumably Stephen Amell’s final suit as Oliver Queen/the Green Arrow. From what we can see here, it looks a lot like the character’s appearance from the recent Rebirth comics. Will season 8 be about death and rebirth?

It’s definitely going to be about the latter, as the Monitor confirmed in the season 7 finale that Oliver would die in the ensuing “Crisis on Infinite Events” event coming this December. The Arrow series finale will likely play out during the major crossover, too, so you won’t want to miss it.
