Arrow Season 8 Guest Stars Will Be Revealed At Comic-Con

Expect for some big Arrow reveals to go down in less than two weeks' time at this year's San Diego Comic-Con.

Now that Arrow has only one more season remaining – and it’ll consist of 10 episodes, for that matter – longtime viewers are no doubt hoping that their favorite supporting characters be brought back for one last go-round. Though it remains to be seen if the likes of Speedy, Deathstroke or even the deceased Malcolm Merlyn will find their way back to Star City this fall, it’s fair to say some big names will return.

If you’ve been keeping up with the latest news pertaining to the series, then you’ve probably read about how executive producer and current showrunner Beth Schwartz said that big comebacks are a certainty. Beyond that, she remained cryptic, but it was too early in the game when she made that statement.

Reaffirming this notion was that of consulting producer Marc Guggenheim on Twitter. In fact, he went as far to respond to Caity Lotz fan page “We Are Lotzers'” wish that guest stars be announced at San Diego Comic-Con with a succinct and definitive “count on it.”

Normally, SDCC brings us trailers for the next cycle of Arrowverse shows during a string of Saturday presentations, with this year being especially significant, what with Arrow‘s final season being observed. On top of that, other juicy details regarding upcoming storylines tend to be divulged, along with possible mentions of other characters from DC’s pantheon making their way to the small screen.

Given the brevity of season 8 – not to mention it serving as a prelude of sorts to the “Crisis on Infinite Earths” crossover event – we may not learn of too many new faces being introduced this time around. Instead, I’d think familiar favorites will be the norm, thereby assuring the show go out in style.

Arrow returns with new episodes on Tuesday, October 15th on The CW.
